I hope someone can help me. In our house i had a wonderful wolf rug. It was shaped like a circular saw blade with a howling wolf on it, the rug was blue. When You touched it the wolf howled. The other day i came on and it was gone thinking my partner had taken it i didnt worry, When he cam on and said he didnt we both checked out inventory and neither has it.
If anyone knows where i can get another one of this rug (has sentimental meaning) could they please IM me in world please
thank you

It could be "buried" by a another rug at the same height? Or perhaps it was accidentaly dragged under the floor?

Have you checked your lost and found folder? If you are at your prim limit and someone elsed rezzes prims on your land, some of your own prims sometimes can get returned to you I think.

Also be sure to check in your Trash folder. Accidental deleting may put it here.
And look in surrounding prims. I don't think you can move into an object while teh ther object is rezzed inworld, but you never know.
Past that, go into View menu, down to Beacons, and highlight scripts. You'll see red lines and framed boxes eerywhere as this shows every script. Look around the area to use this to find where the rug may be hidden under or in another prim. Using the Beacons is a bit confusing at first (distance is a bit wierd) but some camera rotations and movments will quickly show you the general idea of it.
Good Luck

All good suggestions but when I lived in Gallinas I had a bed disappear from my house, never to be seen again.
It wasn't set for sale and it wasn't picked up by my partner it just poofed. Even had a Linden come by look around and check the database...stumped him and we could never duplicate the bug.
Unlike my ducks who 2 months later showed up in my lost and found O.o
So unfortunately things do disappear, sometimes they come back. Dang sounds like a bad horror movie doesn't it?
*hugs*

Thank You for your suggestions. The item was not for sale it was in our home and no one but family could get in, it was also locked. guess it has joined all the missing socks and other things that vanish. Who ever made it did a great job and i would love to have it again though

We need to start collecting UUIDs of stuff we own in case it vanishes.

There are ocassional glitches that cause items to vanish when LL does an update. I had part of a sky platform just vanish a few months ago, part of a building my partner created also vanished around that time as well. Just last night I noticed a large tomb that I had built was just gone. I created it though, so it was easy for me to just put it back, but it's still annoying that things just seems to delete themselves at random (I know I didn't delete them accidentally.)

Ash And much worse when such horrors are visited upon oneself in real life. The Lindens' Grid is not perfect and is barely able to keep the forces at bay that constantly assail it. Please read what my grand doughter-in-law wrote a few years ago about such things.

I am sure one day one of the void sims suddenly turn into a flat land sim with all of the lost inventory items and builds gone amiss from parcels.
