It seems that new accounts now can get the starting L$250, but only if they choose to supply payment info when they first create their account.

I noticed that - it's going to put off a lot of creative people who are going to sign up, think "so what?" about the L$250, then play for a while and find that they can't upload textures or animations if they don't give payment details to Linden and start buying L$.

I've found friendly faces, good attitudes, and a whole lot of fun. If you mean the forums, most poeple will only become vocal when they are unhappy about something. This holds true on *every* forum. SO it will look like that. However, you also reap what you sow. Cynical posts will get you cynical responses.

Just to be clear, it seemed that you only have to give payment details to get the L$250 - you don't have to buy any L$. |
