Banned for Winning!

To the individual who banned me from there casino/club....

You stated that i have been banned for cheating! at blackjack when infact i was having some friendly banter with a fellow punter on game tactics

As far as i can tell tactics such as holding on 15 whilst the dealer shows a 4 for example does not constitute cheating, nor for that matter does betting schemes such as letting the winnings ride or doubling bet on loss (a dangerous persuit) , ok i accept its your land and you have the right to allow or deny access. So be it.

What i do take great offence to is being accused and banned for cheating, which implies that i steal!

May i make the following sudgestion to you, if u cant accept losses which can from time to time occur in any game of chance. THEN DONT PLACE BLACKJACK TABLES!

The money won a pityful 5000L$ has been put into various good causes/ tip jars throughout SL so sod you!

And many thanks for the Ban because i now dwell alot more at other establishments and win and lose in equal measure.
Hats off and respect to Sin Casino,Shaphire moon,Moonshine,chaos theory,slitches oldies and the many more GOOD casino operators i frequent who are all BIG enough to take the good with the Bad.
Unlike the gutless wonder who basically called me a thief! You know who u are i hope everyone who enters your place Hits a blackjack!

My apologies for this rant but i have never broken any law RL or SL and that gets my dander up....

For what it's worth, real life casinos aren't too fond of big winners either, although their definiition of "big" tends to be a little more than US$20.

Pretend that they've done you a favor and go play somewhere else (as it seems you already have). It's them, not you. Sigh.

It happens, but technically they're allowed to.. Only thing you can do is tell people about it..

Casinos aren't worth the bother anyway..

Hmm there is the Detriment of Character law that could apply to them saying your cheating. But it would have to be posted somewhere, saying your a cheater, where others can see it.
LL knows about that law well enough. Thats why you can't say their name in the forums.
But I know who your talking about. lol

Most casino do actually like big winners- they use them as a walking advertisment and try to get em to stay longer - not only to act proud and say out loud 'i won big here ' but to also allow them to put their wining back into the casino - thats y most casinos also have other facilitys

the longer they stay - the more the word gets round bout the big winnings their - the more the winner get cohersed into putting the money back into the place

thats why some hire 'enturages' (close enough spelling) to be freinds for teh winners

Yup this is true i win occasionally and sometimes win big, then there are days when the casino wins its just a bit of fun cash goes back an forth.
And i enjoy the game, heck i even got a few tables on my land one which has lost me 6K but i would certainly not ban someone or accuse them of cheating.

Thats just plain nasty and very small minded, but with the grid ever getting more populated there are lots of small operators and individuals who place these games and like i said before.

If you cant accept the losses and only wish to have gains at any cost, then dont place them.

Sad thing is most gambling type machines do come with this advice usually in the form of a notecard, so ppl RTFM!
