I was on planning to remodel my sim once more, and i was wondering what do you want? Why do you go to sims for? - events? - camping chairs? (eeeww hell no) - clubs? - Chat? - Games? - Adventures? - take pictures? I want to make the sim that will attract people, and not some casino or slave camping chair program (hehe) Do you go for special attractions? or events all day long? or some type of learning stuff? Im open for any opinions, i want to make it a fun place for everyone, and not laggy hehe. Start talking

Being a builder/scripter/texturer, I usually don't go anywhere except to: •buy textures (I save $L and database space by not uploading something if it's already in SL) •check out competing builds (last count: none) •check out interesting scripts or objects I may wish to buy •check out land I might buy •visit friends' places
Once in a while I go find a money chair, usually because I'm tired with planning/building/scripting after a few hours and I need a short break.
My other "weakness" (besides food) is a propensity to drop everything and go play Shanghai (or whatever its SL name).

hmmm interesting, I dont build for what others want, I build my sims for what I want. If people come fine, if they dont its also fine

I'm a sucker for most anything that would fall under the games/adventure category. Rarely I'll stumble into club/dance events, but usually get bored quickly.

Primtionary. Captions There was a Boggle like game around for awhile that vanished. (There may still be one around, if so, the one still around is not the right one.) A Boggle variation is available online under the name Tangleword at www.playsite.com. I would love to see Tangleword implemented as closely as possible in Second Life. If I could play for free against a few people not too much better than I am then I might just stay there all time while in SL. An avatar flying race game, which I described in some other thread recently. For part of the sim, maybe you could get builders and scripters to make builds that can be changed from one day to the next so people have a reason to keep coming back to see what today's build is.

When the Codas owned most of Zoe we hosted multi-day, large-scale building competitions. The sim changed weekly as collections of gardens, mazes, waterfalls, movie sets, miniature villages and such were created. It kept us very busy and brought quite a bit of traffic from contestants and spectators alike.

Being a SL photographist I usualy go to sims as a place to learn things, or take pictures, would be nice if there was more show and tells in SL, or some tutorials on clothes, textures or something other then "Best in Hoochie hair bathing suits" not to get discouraged every once and a while its good, what I miss the most from when I joined SL was the opertunity to show how much I learnt in the few weeks that I was on second life, as the months past these sorts of events faded away, even building comps are a rare sight, just my two cents for here,

I have seen a game recently called Sim Invaders, it seemed to work well and demonstrates that SL and LSL can make a playable old fashioned 2D game.
Given that these old fashioned games are still selling today they might be good draws. Have a league, get people competing for fun and pride and not just money.

MAke an Escher-style Impossible Staircase sim. And make some kind of vehicle/chair setup so people can travel on it.
That's what I'd do.

I still suffer from newbie brain so most of my ideas are naive and stupid, but I'll tell you what I currently enjoy. After running around exploring builds and stores and looking for good places to take pictures, I meet friends and we share what we've discovered. It's have you seen these, did you know you can do this, there's this cool place, and look what I made today kind of stuff. I still drop by the WA daily because it's sometimes a place where people will showcase some crazy thing they have learned or made. I believe a friendly gathering place for show-and-tell/instruction would draw people. At least it would draw people like me. The club environments are not conducive for this type of discussion.
