Yanno. All these freakin colors drive me up the wall. With whacky names for each of them. Second Life colors should only be 16. Only cause well they're the original colors! The rest can just.. well, TAKE A HIKE.

Screw that... it should only be in black and white. Colors suck.

I wish I still had my Pong.

Today's color challenge:

There are 256^3 color values possible in a three byte RGB color scheme with 256 levels of Red, Green, and Blue.

Make a meaningful, distinct non-numerical name for each, a name that conveys what color is meant by the name.

Does anyone have a Pantone booklet to match them?

Gee, does that ever sound like fun.

There's one at work, not a book, but the strips than you can fan out.

I can never remember what mauve and chartreuse are. I've never been able to keep straight what the difference between burgundy and maroon is. We have a color of vinyl that is called three different names by the same manufacturer; light green, medium green, and bright green are all names for the same color to that manufacturer.

LOL, yeah. Pantone can be quiiiiiiite boring (all those codes). I settle for the RGB or HSB codes.

I can answer only about burgundy and maroon where you can think of burgundy as maroon with a rich grape added, so kinda purplish red-brown (so sue me, I like burgundy).
