This discussion forum will be closed in the near future. In the mean time it is moderated by the Scientific Council of Neualtenburg (SC) to ensure that it be used only for official announcements by the government of Neualtenburg.
Why was this step taken?
It was regrettably necessary for us to move our discussion forum from secondlife.com because Linden Lab has not provided us with sufficient tools to ensure that we can moderate discussion in the forum to stay within reasonable limits of civility.
The only means available for moderators in the LL forums are to delete or modify contributors' postings.
The SC does not censor people's words and ideas. Rather we wish to enforce an environment in which people take responsibility for the words they say and the ideas they express. We cannot accomplish that in the SL forums, and thus we must move the community discussions to a new forum. For details of the new guidelines, please see the complete

Furthermore, the new discussion forum has the benefit of allowing us to organise discussion into various sub-forums so that people interested in discussing events in Neualtenburg need not wade through long posts on topics such as constitutional reform.
The Government of Neualtenburg is adamantly committed to the principle of freedom of speech and encourages anyone to register for membership in the new official Neualtenburg discussion forum.
