Well, for the moment, Neualtenburg is without snow. I'm still working with Lee Linden to discover the cause of why Rudeen can't alter the "Base Textures" for the sim. But he's set them for us to the default textures.

Rudeen does have control over the other appearance aspects, including the "Detail Textures" and the elevation controls, so she's tweaked those for a start. She's also started to plant some trees, with an emphasis on autumn leaves. Check out the East Gate of the city.

Lots of tree planting to do, since the snowy trees have to be removed.

Yay! I can't tell you how much I appreciated working on green grass today. It was a very nice change from the white snow. :D

All the snowy trees are now removed ( :( I hate removing trees, but it has to be done, since they look foolish without the snow). I started landscaping around the West Road, off the end of the bridge. Slowly we'll re-forest the place.

I have a "Box Of Trees" that I've assembled; all the relevant Linden trees, with a few extra assorted sizes added in. Linden trees are critical, because: (1) they are only 1 prim each, and (2) they sway in the wind. The trees are all available in the avie's Library, of course, but in the "Box" they've been filtered for appropriateness.

IM me if you'd like one. Maybe I'll put a copy at some convenient location. We need all the help with tree planting we can get!

And, if anyone has access to "Tree Planter" technology, please let me know! Ulrika has been lobbying hard for a change from the snowy environment. I strongly share the desire for a periodic change of seasons. The ground texture is easily changed, but the vegatation is a major project.

Neulatenburg should be the first sim to have changes of season.
