Oktoberfest 2005

As we are now in the second week of the Oktoberfest in Munich, I would like to know whether their are already any details for our Oktoberfest in Nburg. Remember, that in a short time we will have to start the preparation of the X-mas event. Here in the shops you can already buy what you need for X-mas.

I don't know of anything so far but I'd like to propose a kissing booth - all donations to the Guild when I give my kissing services I'm happy to build a booth if someone can suggest a good location.

As last year, I will be setting up the Hippodrome on the platz this weekend, with Oktoberfest officially starting on the first of Oktober.

I know this breaks tradition with actual Oktoberfest times, but due to the expo being put on later than anticipated that's the way the cookies crumble.

Again, The Oktoberfest is on the platz --and any booths and or events can be coordinated through the Guild

Kendra, you think we could use this thread to post ideas and events that will be done at the Oktoberfest (like we did with the EXPO)? That way we in the RA can get in gear with advertising what is coming!

I now have a kissing booth on the upper floor of the Maus Haus - my shop in Neualtenburg. It'll become operational as soon as a scripter can provide me with some means of getting the customers' money into the city coffers.

I am so there! I just gotta put my hobo outfit on and drum up enough $Ls hanging on a streetcorner somewheres.

I plan on spinning a few German Techno sets during Oktoberfest. It will be something like "Friends of Tresor" for those of you who are techno savvy. It will also be my SL DJ debut I know Torley will show up because I doubt she can resist Tresor...

During the EXPO, I learned that only plots that are 512sm in size or larger can be set to be available for location listing on the event calendar. I think it would be a good idea to keep the event listing locations in mind when you are deciding where you want to host specific events for the Oktoberfest. And I'm sure if you have a location in mind that is not listed, Sudane would help if at all possible! And I say "if possible" because I'm not certain what other factors may be involved besides the land needing to be at least 512sm.

Ah, that would explain why the Maus Haus didn't show up. Hmm - might adjourn to the lodge instead.

You're always free to use the Gasthaus in Altenburg (on the plus side, the chair onstage is actually a dance machine )

Had an idea for Oktoberfest.

Last year's Oktoberfest was held on the Platz, mostly because it was the largest area we had in the City --but traditionally Oktoberfest is held in Weisn --the fields outside the city --suggest we set up for Oktoberfest on the EXPO field, and save the Platz for Weinachten (which believe it or not, we should begin to plan for )

So --what are YOU doing for Oktoberfest.

I'm putting up the Hippodrom tent and creating a new stein for 2005, as well as two smaller tents for rival breweries Altenbrau and Neubrau.

also suggest leaving the merchant platform up since we'll likely have many visitors.
this might be a good time to put out any Oktoberfest (or Halloween wares)

yes --but our meadows are outside "the walls" --technically our entire SIM is a city and the expo valley is or meadows.
