Although its a fair way off geographically and in bulding contruction. Sarlat is a superb example of a dense, non square medieval city. I spent two weeks there a couple of years ago, there is not a straight line in the place.

Wait wait wait. Someone is making a Medieval City? Where have I been throughout this? Can someone send me a notecard so I can at least follow along with your project plans? I love the architecture of the Middle Ages. Would be very interested to at least watch this project take place!
