Well, 8 months have passed since we started "officially" Neualtenburg's project - and although we already have our own private sim (and everything has been demolished in Anzere anyway), today is the "official date" for the end of Phase I. Phase II, as the readers of this forum already know, will introduce the concept of ownership of shares in the city itself by its citizens. "Neualtenburg Reloaded" is due to start in a few weeks or so :) but in the mean time I thought that we should commemorate this "public holiday" - a landmark in time - by holding a "state address" and a general Q&A discussion event for old and new citizens.

It may be fun, and there are not many events announced later today, so perhaps we'll catch the attention of a few interested parties :)

- Gwyn

PS. The RA, if they manage, should hold a session afterwards (as always, the sessions are public).

Event description: Citizens and friends of Neualtenburg! We commemorate today the end of the first cycle of our project. 8 months have passed since we struggled along in our socio-politic experiment of running a city in Second Life with an elected government.

From now on - and to be started soon - we will begin with Phase II. If you're curious or interested in participating in this project - or if you're one of our old citizens glad to get back in touch with us - come and join us for a bit of discussion. We'll publicly review what we have done so far, what worked well and what didn't, and certainly be generally available to discuss things in-world which haven't been covered in the forums.

The City of Neualtenburg declares this day to be a public holiday :-) So join us at the Schloss Neualtenburg and bring your questions to us.
