This morning, in recognition of a New Year for the Guild --and a new start, I as Gildemeister have exercised ( under Guild rules as the only Meister-Class voter with an operational vote under the Constitution) my discretionary appointent of a new Gildemeister.

Sudane Erato.

As Treasurer of the Guild, Sudane is already involved in duties generally belonging to the Gildemeister, and she has my utmost confidence in running the Guild in a fashion which I have determined to be commercially beneficial to the City Of Neualtenburg.

I am by no means leaving The Guild. Rather I am looking foward to serving as a Meister (with a workshop for all interested Guild members) and collaborating with other Meisters.
It is my hope to get some great projects going in the new year, including a horror movie shot on location in N'burg. Casting will begin in January.

My workshop will be located as always at the blacksmith's shop and under the canal. All in my workshop are free to use these facilities.

Nor am I leaving Government involvement. I am announcing, as head of the SDF, my candidacy for the RA. I will be posting my platform this weekend.

To all Guild members. Please respect my decision to place the Guild in the capable hands of Sudane. I look foward to the new commercial district on the platz making the Guild and the City even stronger and far more profitable.

Wow.

So many changes at Neualtenburg, now I am thinking I left rather too hastily. ;) But such is life.

Great good luck on your new endeavors Kendra.

I will miss your velvet gloved hand on the Guild but you seem to have mapped out an entirely positive new direction anyway. You have found a way to contribute even *more* which is admirable.

That horror movie sounds like a natural for Nburg and likely to generate a lot of interest as most of your projects do. I have always thought that the kind of commercial and social activity generated by your events are the lifeblood of the place.

Bravo, cheers, and good luck from me! :D

Thanks, we'll suck you back into N'burg anyways ::::whistle:::::

While I've no objection, I presume this is contingent on the next set of elections, since (as an RA member) Sudane cannot currently, at this second, be actual in-fact Guildmaster, being an RA member.

But I reckon that goes without saying, and with elections coming up I'm not inclined to press technicalities too hard. Just figured I'd bring it up to make it clear to all.

Congrats, Sudane! :)

Correct, I am technically Gildemeister until after the RA elections --where I may either be an RA member (if elected) or just a plain ol' Meister in the Guild :)

Thank you all.

Regarding the RA, yes, I will not seek re-election. The role of Gildemeister is an interesting new challenge, and the members of the new RA can surely look forward to my active participation in RA proceedings in much the same way that Kendra has participated actively in the current one.

In fact, it seems to me that a close working relationship between the Guild and the RA is the heart of NBurg administrative functioning. Kendra has obviously felt that from the beginning, and she has been faithful participant in RA proceedings. Perhaps my role is to carry this concept a step further by setting up the systems by which the members of the Guild interact, carry on their activities, and interface with the rest of the NBurg system. I am completely indebted to Kendra for transforming the idea created by Ulrika and herself over a RL year ago into a "fact on the ground". I'll be trying to bring order and system to that established "fact".

Kendra will deliver to me in the next few days a list of the issues currently "on the desk" of the Guild. With that, I'll prepare and publish proposals for the disposition of those items as well as the initiation of new projects intending to move this forward. I'll also try and set a theme by publishing my proposal of response to the discussion thread in the Law Society forum, as Claude Desmoulins has brought to our attention in /103/65/80112/1.html. I can certainly say now that the essence of the proposal will be a focus on Neualtenburg as a business environment while at the same time strongly supporting the original vision of a themed, environmentally desireable place to live.

mmmmm...more systems! : )

This is great fun for the observer as well as the deserving systems developer. Congrats, Sudane.
