As promised in this post, /103/09/81576/1.html#post839351, I have essentially completed a proposal for placing Neualtenburg on long term “sound commercial footing”. This proposal has a number of parts, but the specific proposals for action are in two categories. First, there are those programmatic proposals which I offer, as a citizen and as the Treasurer of Neualtenburg, to the RA for action. Second, there is a statement of my plans, as Gildemeister designee, to organize and improve the functioning and communications of the Guild itself. None of these suggestions are based in any factional position, so I have stepped away from attempting to convince the MPP to incorporate them. In fact, I feel that all factions will have things to agree with and to disagree with in them. For this reason, and so as not to cause confusion among the electorate about the various issues facing Neualtenburg, I have decided to postpone publishing these proposals until after the elections are complete. At that time, I will post them here, and I’ll present myself at the newly elected RA to answer questions about them. I’ll also be there should any member or members seek my assistance in formulating these proposals in specific actions to be voted upon by the RA. Sudane

These duties are outside the scope of responsibility for the Guild Master. Given that you were in the leading faction of the RA for four months, it makes me wonder why you waited until you were no longer a member to start this initiative. I've been frustrated myself with the slow growth of the city and the fact that my bill to terminate and covert the remaining debt failed to pass the RA two (or three?) times. In fact, it seems like most party platforms are direct responses to the obstructionism and resulting slow rate of change and growth seen on the RA in the past few months. Personally, I'd love to see the Guild Master focus on some real issues of the Guild. Specifically, I have never been compensated for the hundreds of hours I spent putting together the city in the beginning. We still have no budget to pay Kendra's extensive ongoing work. I received no compensation for domain-name registrations or for continuing development and monthly bandwidth costs for the website. I'd really like to see the Guild Master do what its essential core function is -- to perform work for the city and make sure contributors aren't performing endless charity work. If I recall correctly, it was you who said almost a year ago that charity work needed to stop -- now is the time to do that. ~Ulrika~

Well I think any citizen, no less the treasurer should be allowed to present such plans.

From: Satchmo Prototype Well I think any citizen, no less the treasurer should be allowed to present such plans. It seems odd that upon reading the DPU and SDF platform that Sudane would first oppose N'burg expansion and then suddenly reverse positions and promise a competing plan. I think the reversal is strange, the timing is terrible, and the justification questionable. It sounds like ego-motivated obstructionism followed by maverick policy making to me. ~Ulrika~
