I'd very much like Die Gilde to put in a bid on this job --it could be extremely good for Neualtenburg.
To that end I'd like to call a meeting of Die Gilde to meet in The Gasthaus (Next to the canal in "Altenburg" ![]() _____________________

This sounds like a lot of fun. Although I can't commit to any work due to the fact that I have a child arriving any day now, I think I can handle doing some German translations and spelling checks if needed. What I can't do, my trained translation monkey can do for me.
![]() If there is any of my existing work (signs, structures, textures, and so on) that can be used, just let me know and I'll get it to Kendra. We should try to take advantage of as much existing infrastructure as possible. Also, I think we'll have the most success with creating structures that show both the traditional and the modern side by side (much like we have planned for the city itself), perhaps borrowing from a modern Platz itself. ~Ulrika~ _____________________

Well, dunno how good I can be for ideas, but if you need a build/script monkey for something, I can lend a hand. _____________________

Well, dunno how good I can be for ideas, but if you need a build/script monkey for something, I can lend a hand. I need everyone I get and at whatever level of involement they can muster. In the meantime I will need all your best snapshots of N'burg for the proposal. WE have a lo of work to do if we wish to meet the deadline ![]() I'd also suggest we put aside the work stoppage in the interests of the City, and gear up for the expo to occur over the labor day weekend, I'm asking the RA to vote on an emergency EXPO budget for the guild in order to make this possible. Whatever happens, whether we can get the Linden gig or no -- a german speaking populace is obviously coming soon in strong numbers and that can only be considered good news for Neaultenburg tourism ![]() _____________________

Wow! This sounds really neat and I agree will be a great thing for Neualtenburg!!
I know the EXPO discussion is on the agenda of the RA , but I'll make sure to bring up discussion of an emergency budget for this at the RA meeting this Sunday (if another RA person doesn't beat me to it. ![]() And if a budget is approved and the guild moves forward, I'd love to help where I can. ![]() |

I think a few things will help Neualtenburg win the contest
![]() I know not all of these can be done by the deadline... but it is worth a try. (it can be useful later too) People Oriented Areas - Benches - Welcome Center in Marktplatz and/or Altenburg - Gardens - Fountain in the Marktplatz Public Transportation Throughout Neualtenburg - Any Ideas? - Monorail? - Train -----Eugene's Imput ----- I would like to see a monorail completed in Neualtenburg. The monorail tracks would be placed over the city streets with stations at every intersection. (the monorail would be modern) Having a monorail in the city shows that Neualtenburg may be themed Medieval bavarian, but has the luxury of modern technologies. ![]() --------------- Valley Area - Fill empty lots with trees (adds atmosphere) Will also make Neualtenburg look more "complete". Neualtenburg Univercity Project - Promote/Advertise - Prepare classes (classes in German as well?) - List of teachers Unique Events in Neualtenburg - Expo - Celebrate German Holidays Bilingual - Translate Neualtenburg Notecards into German Builds - Complete Schloss - Complete the Neualtenburg MOCA _____________________

Let me jump into this thread ...
I am a new citizen of beautiful Neualtenburg. The most important information for you is that I am really living in Bavaria, east of Munich. My native language is German. If I can provide any help translating stuff or being a German speaking contact person in Neualtenburg, please feel free to drop me a note! |

If you need any help from the Artist's Guild just give me a whistle. Perhaps I can aid you in setting up a translation business also : don't hesitate to drop me a line if you see anything that could be improved or made authentic --or --if there's anything you would personally find to make Neualtenburg more authentic! I admit that as an American, I might get little details and such incorrect. _____________________
