I held an event today in which I gave kisses for money to benefit the city. As it brought in 1,900 linden dollars, I'm going to do it again :D The next round is at 11 pm game time on Wednesday to make it a bit more convenient for US people. It's listed as a mature event.

We have some really generous fans out there. I was quite touched.

As there wasn't time to put together a donation box for this event (I'm so impatient) I'll hang onto the money and put it through the box when it's ready.

Hurrah! What a fun and great idea, Garnet. Make sure you keep a cut of that for yourself, now. :D

Yes, maybe we could use the city money for building residential signs. :-))

I've put a temporary direction sign to the Maus Haus in the Marktplatz. This is just for the event, and is because the Maus Haus isn't showing as a 'find' location in the event for some reason.

Otherwise people will be going into the Kirche looking for the wrong kind of services.

The second round got us 2,800 lindens :D I'll do one more round but could do with suggestions for timing. I pitched it a bit late this time so I was lucky there were night owls around!

So ... 1900 plus 2800 L$ make 4700 L$.

I´d assume that this money should not be transfered to the city but kept by Garnet.

But anyway, *if* it is city money, this would mean with reference to the price of 40 L$ for each residential sign a sum of 117 plates ... more than needed!

Just my two L-cents.

I don't know. I caught the some of the traffic and I was impressed at how successful the 2nd round was. That time on Friday night might be a best time for a third round.

No, it was always intended as a service to the city. I don't want to keep any of it. When our scripter is well it's all going in the new box/vendor/thingie.

Garnet, Can you drop a full mod version of the kiss thingy in my inventory? Who should get paid , Rudeen? I haven't actually checked out the kissing set up yet, so forgive me if I'm missing something.

I haven't actually made anything yet as I don't know what's required. I actually thought a particular vendor would be something the scripter would suggest. Sorry for my ignorance. I thought Rudeen was the proper person to pay but it seems it might be Uma Bauhaus. I honestly don't know for certain and would be glad of guidance.

I guess that would depend on how you wish the money to be spent.
If it is for general beautification of the City --it goes in the marktplatz fountain.
If it is to pay down our deficit it goes to Rudeen.
If it is to be banked in the treasury it goes to Uma.

Ok sweet. Perhaps the person would pay the vendor and then automatically get a kiss? The kissing animation would be in the vendor device and on payment it would animate for a kiss. Then we just need a way to turn it off when no one is present. Sound good?

Ah no, sorry I haven't expressed myself clearly. I've been using poseballs for kisses and people have just paid me directly. I needed some way to get the money to the city. I originally thought of offering it to the Guild (as I'm one of the humble apprentices) but I'm happy for it to go where the need is greatest. It would seem in that case that Rudeen is the best person to have it. Any old prim would do as a donation box, I suppose.

OK Perfect!!! I realized this right after I posted and subsequently lost network access for the night. I'll do it tonight... I PROMISE!!! :P I need Rudeen's Key if she's listening.

Also, instead of sending the money to Rudeen, we should send the money to Uma Bauhaus and an email to "vendor@ulrikasheim.org". Craft an email that has the following features.

First the subject should be "Vendor" or "Donation Box". Something that will never change for this class of device.

CODE
Subject: Vendor

Next the following fields before the color are parsed by the server:

CODE
Object-Name: Neualtenburg Kuckucksautomat v2.7
Region: Neualtenburg (246528, 249600)
Local-Position: (164, 198, 173)

Artisan: 81b730e5-1478-4b59-b5d2-d014d365bd01|e01e0240-d75c-4957-9be0-07a2ef9b5
3c9|f7f8c3eb-45ae-4aed-82ba-e948b1f9d295
Owner: 81b730e5-1478-4b59-b5d2-d014d365bd01
Item: Neualtenburg Chicken Hat v2.0
Price: 150
Rate: 0.5|0.5|0.10
Customer: Customer Name

The Object-Name, Region, and Local-Position are used in the online-vendor reporting tool to sort data. The Artisan field is a list of artisans that split the payment, who's order is the same as the Rate field. Item is what was sold (here it could be hard coded to a "Kiss". The Rate field is the percentage that each artisan in the Artisan field received plus the tax rate for the city (numbers don't have to add to 1).

With that said, I'm going to log in and send you a copy of the city's vendor script.
