On the eve of the elections, I want to let you all know what my future plans for the city and SL are, so you may plan accordingly. :D

The past four months have been wonderful. I've met and worked with a lot of great people; made some great scripted and animated objects; built some structures of which I'm quite proud; and learned much about governments and voting systems. However, I've felt a bit confined politically being in charge of the city. I've had to adopt a silent, conformist persona for the benefit of the city and it just does not feel right! ;)

The solution, I believe is in the elections. As soon as a new Representative Assembly is elected, that group will direct the image and vision of the city, freeing me to express myself in more controversial ways without it negatively affecting the project. I, of course, will remain a big part of the project in the Scientific Council. Also, I really enjoy working with infrastructure, such as vendors, architecture, city planning, and politics, and plan to continue to improve them. However, the days of equating me with the city end on Sunday when the polls close.

What this means is you can count on me to work behind the scenes but don't expect me to provide any leadership or accountability. These elections are real. Whoever wins takes on the leadership roles and the responsibilities that go with it. How cool is that? :D

There are not many places in SL where anyone can be elected to guide the future of a full snow sim with its own teleport hub. Take advantage of it and good luck in the elections.

Makes sense Ulrika! :)

Will anyone besides yourself and Kendra be monitors for our group forum? Just curious.

Also, after almost leaving but then staying, and then wanting to get back involved more.. Some MORE RL stuff happened. :p

I have family in town right now, but am going to MAKE them let me slip away tomorrow (Saturday) so that I can vote. I will also most likely be in world late late this evening. I'm going to try and track down Talen and others involved with the project.

After this weekend, my life should be back to normal, and I really REALLY want to get back involved with the project. :)

I know how real life can be. I have some very interesting things going on right now too. :D

I would like to have the monitors of the forum match the officers of the group. However, we never talked about how we're going to divide up the officer titles among members of the group after the election.

I was thinking that there should be a single officer from each branch but it's definitely open for discussion.
