Question about Land in the new sim

Ok. I've finally had a chance to read most of everything since I left. WOW! Lots of great things going on! I'm really excited! :D

I do however have a question (well, a few questions around the same issue). I semi- understand how land is going to be handled in the new sim. Something that *really* confuses me though is where exactly do we get our plots from? If we are not getting them and paying for them through LL, who are we paying? How are we paying? And lets say I tier down from LL; as a member of old, I was grandfathered 1024sm for life when 2.0 came out. Will I still be able to retain that land amount? I ask mainly because it is part of the reason I have as much tier as I do currently. With montly fees and land fees, I am not able to spend more than $25 total a month on SL as whole (which is what I currently pay). So I want to make sure I figure all of this out before I do any tier changing or anything.

Can anyone help me with these questions? :o :)

I am in the process of zoning the new parts of the city right now. I hope to be done by tomorrow some time. From there Sudane and I will subdivide the open land and place a map with available lots on the webpage. If someone finds a lot they like, we'll hold it, while the new owner and city sign the deed. After that the new owner creates a group, Sudane deeds the land that group, and they move in.

Payments are made either by PayPal directly to the Neualtenburg Business Account (Sudane.Erato@gmail.com) or to one of us in $L (although we're still negotiating if and how we should do $L). (Also, the monthly land-use fees are nonprofit.) :)

Wow! 1024 m^2 for life? Nice. :D I'm not sure about retaining the 1024 m^2. You might have to talk to a Linden about that. You do have the option of not tiering completely down too.

I'm the same way. I was spending $40 per month and it was too much. Now I'm tiering down to US$0 per month, putting US$25 into Neualtenburg and I'm getting twice as much land. :D

There's no need to rush into this, Pendari. You have plenty of time. Additionally, I'd like to see all those who donated tier in the previous incarnation come over to the new project without having to purchase land (although it would be fun to all live in the same sim). Just like SL granted you land before 2.0, we should grant all those who donated tier in phase 1 honorary citizenship.

This will be an issue for the RA (maybe at the next meeting). I for one strongly support honorary citizenship for past tier donators and will try and nudge my representatives in that direction.

Let me know what other questions you might have. :)

Just to clear up your question about land ownership and tiering Pendari, those of us who were "grandfathered" in with 1024 for life or we "Life Accounters" who have 4096 for life, we will never lose that even if we don't use it.

However that land allowance cannot be used to offset land acquired in a Private (Estate) sim. It can only be used on the mainland.
