A bill to set land use fees in the central commercial district.
Text:
All lots in the central commercial district (as defined in NL 4-2) shall be assessed a monthly land fee of $.0155/square meter (USD)
Explanation:
Having created the zone in NL 4-2, it is now the RA's responsibility to see it's land fee.

Do different zones have a different sale price/sqm as well? Should the city sell these plots at a higher price?

From: Flyingroc Chung Do different zones have a different sale price/sqm as well? Should the city sell these plots at a higher price? For reference, the prices that the City sells land at now are: Valley land (outside the walls) US$0.0058/m2 City land (inside the walls) US$0.0077/m2 (edit) These are the prices charged for monthly fees, not land sale. sale prices vs monthly fees

From: Kazuhiko Shirakawa Those look like the monthly fees to me, rather than the sale prices (which are five monthly rates, IIRC). You're right. My mistake. These are the current land use fees, provided so we have a comparison with what Claude has proposed in his Bill. Regarding sale price, we can charge whatever people would like. Please keep in mind two factors. One, that the premium we place on the Platz land is not yet a demonstrated "value" in the sense a merchant would understand; there is no revenue flow happening now on the Platz, despite its proximity to the telehub. Only successful shops would raise that value. Second, revenues from land sales are, and will be, a far less significant source of revenue for the City than the monthly fees. To my mind, the sale price ought to be whatever achieves maximum success at getting the shops around the Platz that we would like. Sudane
