To attract more visitors/customers, Neualtenburg should host an exposition of some sort. - Will attract shopowners to Neualtenburg. - Increase tourism/awareness. - In the expo, we could have the Neualtenburg "booth" to teach residents about Neualtenburg.
What type of expo? I thought of a few... - Fashion - Art (will help out the MoMA) - Prefabs/Furniture - Avatars - Script/Texture
Where will the booths be? - Not rented fachwerks - Marktplatz - Any other ideas?
What do you think? Is it possible?
(Of course, this will all be temporary.)
-Eugene

This is a great idea. We could even do things such as hosting parties (converting the church temporarily to a club) or hosting games. I think a party would be a lot of fun myself. Do we have any event planners in our group? I'm more of a recluse myself. ~Ulrika~

There's actually a "Basics of SL" course being taught in the city today at 3:00 pm. I'm not sure who's giving it but I saw the event listed on the map.

The "Basics on SL" is probably my own doing, although last Sunday, unexpectedly, we had two simultaneous events at Neualtenburg Aliasi Stonebender has done a very successfully attended Primtionary I like the Expo idea, of course - we should just think what we can do as a theme. An Art Exhibit would probably be a good idea, because we still need to gather some support for the Museum. Of course, this could be the pretext for a group of related events. If no one objects of having a Vampire party inside the church (hehe!), I'll get one of SL's best (and definitely friendliest) DJ's for that - Sech Molinari. He's a "very late hour" Brit who could probably do some DJing from 2-6 PM PST or so, without any problem. You'll see the way he can really kick up a party - give him another six months or so, and he'll be more popular than Misty Rhodes, lol, so I like that idea as well Pendari would certainly be great to help us organize something - after all, she has been hosting successful events ages before any of us was "born" in SL If we do an Expo, I think there should be some sort of "contest" as well. This also means we should look at our finances and see how much we can get from the budget for prizes. The "contest" side of it will also mean that many of the exhibits at the Expo will be around for a few days before the event itself, allowing people to vote on them, and giving a pretext for people to visit Neualtenburg. As to the place, the Marktplatz would certainly be a prime candidate, although it's also the "laggiest" spot in the city. Hmm. I'll have to think a bit about that. The major advantage, of course, would be that people teleport immediately inside the Expo. Would any of you be available to discuss this a bit in a RA meeting next Sunday at 10 AM PST?

Great! I'll send a note to all current Neualtenburgers, encouraging folks to sit in.
I presume we should have the meeting in the Rathhaus nearer the church, that Eugene has re-decorated? Or, perhaps outside, at the old meeting space in Altenburg?

Please feel free to use my plots for meetings/parties etc. I might even get round to finishing the hunting lodge - albeit a rough and ready version. By the way - is there such a thing as a Neualtenburg cake?
