I haven't been able to get in that much lately. I can usually only log in for about 5 minutes before I either get booted off the SL network because of packet loss or the lag being absolutely horrible. Wasn't like this until about 3 weeks ago, and nothing's changed on my side.
When I am lucky enough to get in for longer periods of time, developing is a nightmare. Moopf Murray experienced the same problems I have been, and that's why he has left SL completely.
Every time I make an object, sometime later (sometimes 3 seconds, sometimes 3 hours), it randomly changes size and position. Even individual pieces of linked objects are being affected. I've contacted SL and they told me the problem is sporadic and very few people are having it.
I interpret that to mean, "Tough shit."
Ulrika, if you need to wipe the start I had on the Museum of Art and get someone else to do it, that's fine. Things have not changed for me in 3 weeks and I am losing hope that Linden Labs will do anything to alleviate my problems.
Like Moopf, I feel the bugs in SL are seriously hindering any "fun" I used to have here. When I joined, the version was 1.2. Since then, each upgrade has just introduced a new list of bugs and broken things.
I'm not quitting (yet), but am going to uninstall SL for a few days, step back and take a breather. Every night I try to use SL just leads to frustration; frustration I don't need right now.
I hope things are working in time for the grand opening of the city.

I'm sorry to hear that Aaron but I understand completely. I haven't had the same extreme difficulties as you and Moopf but I too have felt the frustration o' the jumping prim. Don't worry about the build. It's like an open-source project. All individuals are welcome to come and go as they please. The last thing I want to do is make it like work. While you're away from SL, feel free to continue to contribute to topics in the forum, if you'd like.
On a related subject I think it would be in SL's best interest to create a small simulator (kind of like the one Neo and Morpheus used for training in the Matrix). It would run on our own computers, create a tiny virtual white room with grid lines (say 100 x 100 m), and we could use it to create lag-free objects and code that we could later upload into SL. It would allow development while we're away from a broad-band connection too. Has anyone ever suggested this before?
