I don't know how many of you have attended a RL meet yet but... if you get the chance, go! I went to the SL:UK meet in London on Saturday. It was hosted by Fizik Baskerville and the people behind Avalon sim. I met some great people there (I don't want to name names as I'm bound to offend someone that way!) The hangover the next day, however, was brutal! When people asked me what I did in SL I decided to talk mostly about Neualtenburg since that is what is exciting me about SL the most right now. I met a couple of guys who are doing a series of ten-minute (positive) documentaries about SL for a UK TV channel (Channel 4) and Robbie Cooper whose alter ego photographic project is described on his website. I don't know if my burblings interested them in N'burg or turned them off but I'll be sure to point these guys in the right direction if they want to follow up.

From: Patroklus Murakami I went to the SL:UK meet in London on Saturday. It was hosted by Fizik Baskerville and the people behind Avalon sim. That sounds great, Patroklus! I'd love to have participated in that or something similar but sadly I live in such a small country that we do not have - at least not to my knowledge - any organised events centered around the use of Second Life. In that respect Copenhagen does seem to be falling a bit behind from the rest of Europe.. It's really nice that you managed to do some promotion of Neualtenburg - such a fresh citizen and already an ambassador If the guy gets back to you feel free to point him to any of the "more experienced" citizens as well should he want to get some additional perspectives. Gwyneth has done a lot of RL media publicity in the past but I'm sure that any of the frequent posters in here would be excellently suited for the job. In the end I suppose it's scheduling and time zones that will decide. Hope to meet you around town soon!
