As everyone knows, we are located on a "grid". Even though we appear by sight to have limitless boundaries in all directions, we do not. The newly announced procedures for sim reservation point out existing rules, namely, that you cannot purchase a sim bordering on someone else's sim without their permission.
The rules, like many LL rules, are a bit fuzzy on whether or not "bordering" on another sim means "having two corners adjacent" or only "having two sides adjacent". For the purpose of this liitle rant, I assume that the prohibition includes "having two corners adjacent".
A quick glance at the map shows clear limits on NBurg expansion. At the moment, we can acquire two or more sims directly to our north, east, and south. We can acquire only one sim directly to our west. We cannot acquire the sim to our immediate northeast.
Let's assume that we invest in a "reservations fund" and manage to acquire (by auction

I have argued in the past for a conservative, "go slow" approach to acquiring more sims for Neualtenburg, and I do not change that position. But I feel that consideration of the map, AND of the new "sim reservation" rules, shows very different prospects for future grwoth than we've been assuming so far.
