Where is everyone? =)

Ok. I know the holidays have many of us very busy. But we are also getting down to the wire and election time and time for our proposal to the Lindens is coming up in just a few weeks. I don't want this project to be a job for anyone! eek! NO! haha. But, I am also concerned for the welfare of the project as usual. Just stinks we had to have such important groundwork done while we were also in one of the busy times of the year. But I can handle that!

Anyway, I just noticed that our most active forum posters and project participators have not been posting to this forum much in the last week. There are some forum questions going unanswered or discussed even, by our regulars. Just wondering how everyone is doing, if there are things those of us have more time *could* be doing? Just, trying not to panic! LOL. Ulrika, Kendra, Talen, you three especially I'm worried where your posts are. Hope all is well. Please let me know if I can be of *any* help in anything!!

Big things are happening very soon! I just want us to be organized for that day!

Yes. To be honest, I'm just sick to death of the forums right now. I need variety. I burnt myself out writing the rough draft of the constitution over Thanksgiving and am having difficulty returning. However, I realize there is a minimum of work which needs to be done, so I posted a time table in another thread:

26 Dec - Rough draft of city philosophy
31 Dec - Constitution done, city philosophy done, voting system done
02 Jan - Test voting system during the week
09 Jan - Election day!
16 Jan - City report and future proposal due to Haney.

Everything in the list I will be responsible for.

Given that I'm not in the forum what am I up to? Mischief, I assure you!

I wrote a new version of the vendor which now supports single-item vendors so we can stock shelves with steins and purses that sell copies of themselves. It's just like the "Buy..." function but it reports to our server. I'm also happy to announce that we have two new artisans, Catfart Grayson and Ingrid Ingersoll. CF is selling a sled and Ingrid, as a guest artisan, is selling purses from the import store that Kendra put up.

The creation of store space to sell individual and guest items is something Kendra and I have been talking about doing for months and is something we both wanted in place before the end of the lease. We're hoping that advertising the area as a mall (I need a better word) will increase traffic.

Finally, I'm in the process of revamping my website. I've already created new side images of me in standard and Neualtenburg gear. Now I'm working on a new dynamic catalog that shows all of our current items for sale for a pre-Xmas and New Years advertising blitz in the forum classifieds.

(As you can see it's been anything but the forums.)

I'll eventually get to them, if no one else does. However, I would like to encourage all our new members to take a shot at tackling the problems. I have a huge to-do list in the city (I'm weeks behind in animations and fun projects) and would love to have some forum help.

I've been, uh... on the move After switching back from a tiny island in the middle of the Atlantic back to mainland Portugal, I'm ready for more SL (yes, I did already one event in Neualtenburg yesterday!)

Unfortunately, my RL back here will be way more hectic and stressful, and this means a very limited time for being either online or on the forums. Still, I'll be able to connect every day for a few hours

Ah, what I miss more, is the great Internet connection I had Ah well, I'll upgrade the current one in a week or so, let's see if I can squeeze a few more extra bits through the cable that way

Yay! Today is my last day of work until the 3rd! Granted, I have a lot of RL fun to participate in but I should be in the forums a lot more starting tomorrow, skipping the holidays, and then returning with a vengeance on Monday. For those who want to help, pull start your motors cause it's time to finish this thing up.

After the holidays we will elect our first representative assembly!

My coffeeshop build is done, I just need someone to show me wher I gotta stick it... Stuck to the 10x10m footprint, and got the thing in well under 50 prim... it's 35 right now I think, but well I am willing to take suggestions as to what to add!

Good question... I haven't seen Kendra or Ulrika around in a while... although I dropped off my coffeeshop build in the town square this morning in anticipation of it's placement in the city!

Nothing is done! I went on an impromptu vacation as gift for the holidays and was internet free for the duration. It was wonderful.

I was hoping you all had finished the constitution, while I was gone. Now that I'm back I'll redo the deadlines and get to work after I sleep off the drive tonight. Almost time for elections!

Same here! I was really busy right before the holidays and then took a long vacation. I regret nothing!

If you have time, check out the new changes to the constitution. I hope to hold elections on the 15th of January or so.

Well, to redeem myself, I'll just say I have been participating in a massive fundraising event to help the tsunami victims, through donations to DEC. We have managed to raise over L$ 250,000 so far, through several donations done at events - yes, some of them held at Neualtenburg Stay tuned at the Events list for more of those (like the one at 2 PM PST, today).

Now, back to Neualtenburg, and yes I have yet to read Ulrika's last proposal of the Constitution... I have the "Borda count" Wikipedia page open in front of me right now...

hehe.. Well, I posted this and then disapearred myself for a bit.

Had a bit of rough patch there with some RL and SL issues. One night I came close to leaving, thankfully I came to my senses along with the help of some great friends and people in SL. I think I had just snapped. Shouldn't happen again. I've eased my way back in though and all is well.

At any rate, when I get home from work today I'll start getting all caught up on reading everything in the group forum, and then I'll be in world later tonight. I plan to focus on Neault as top priority for me in SL right now.

I'm sorry to hear that you almost departed. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know. I'm a bulldog when I need to be. Just tell me whom to bite. Grrr.

I'm glad you were able to take some time away and are feeling better. I think it's good to get a break from SL once and awhile.

I think Kendra is also in a recuperative period right now.

No need to work too much on it, if you're still recuperating. The best thing about a project like this is that there are enough members that it can move along while others are out. Of course, if you have political aspirations, now would be the time to whip up support for your party among citizens and within your party to become the party lead.

As for the constitution there have only been a few minor changes to answer the last few questions about factions and voting. I've highlighted the changes in blue for easy reading. The most important thread is the faction thread, which has plans on how we should proceed in the last week with organizing the citizens to join factions and vote.
