For visitors who want to explore Neualtenburg, there should be a special way of transportation. I was thinking mopeds.

Better if we built and sold our own--but agree that mopeds would be an excellent vehicle for Neualtenburg

Here's a crazy idea. How about a subway?

We could make a station beneath the Marktplatz (town square) and provide either clickable maps like Gwyn made or actually create tubes under the streets via terraforming that would move folks around. How crazy is that?

Would we want to set "no fly" in our city? I've always thought that would be fun, although it could drive us mad as well. ;)

A subway?!? Wow, this is getting crazier and crazier - I *love* the idea! Besides, Neualtenburg will probably be one of the few spots in SL where a subway is actually *possible* in the City centre, due to the way it's built.

I'd be even more bold and let the subway "extend" via the roads into a monorail system... I love all types of rail systems, and I'm always looking for more of those in SL (Spitoonie and the Great SL Railway being my favourites), although, I must admit, I don't have the slightest idea on how they work!

A "no fly" zone inside the city walls would be... interesting :) I'd suggest that we experiment a bit - let's try things out! We can ask people about their reaction during the events hosted in Neualtenburg.

Also, I wonder if the City could be "borrowed" by the Portal Wars group for one of their games (it's a first-person shooter using teams with cleverly designed equipment). This is an event that usually lasts for 2-3 hours and attracts a dozen people or so, if done during a weekend. The games designers are Deevydee Maelstrom and Spider Mandala. They don't charge anything - they have done it for fun, and usually request sim owners for permission to game around. In the case of Neualtenburg, I believe that the "crammed" look of the City centre would give them a challenge :)

Of course, this is the kind of event that really needs the approval of the City Council...

Wow, Ulrika ;). Speechless... I love the idea of a subway :D.

A no fly zone in the city would be interesting... the only problem I can think of is when people want to go to their property they have to walk, which could get annoying. But then, the subway can take care of that ;)

I'd be happy with no fly outside the walls as well. This would give the area a more realistic flavour and s l o w the pace of life in SL - a very welcome change. Besides flying over reveals too many fun secrets

I visited the subway today too. It's definitely in beta. :)

I tried going for a ride but I fell through the floor and ended up standing in the tunnel. I think we might have the best luck trying to adapt a roller coaster for our subway. That way it can be small and fun.

By the way, thank you for the welcome-back sign Eugene. It was very nice of you. :D
