What to do about orphaned objects |

Since Ulrika and Garnet left, many of the communities objects in Neualtenburg (fachwerken, the streets, etc.) are owned by those no longer active in the community. Is there a plan in place to make sure that these objects can be maintained once their creators leave?

No, although in Ulrika's case, she hasn't technically left just yet, for just this reason.

There were just two fachwerken I left in the city on my departure, taken from my inventory (I bought them originally) to replace custom-made houses which I wanted to take with me.
One I have now 'sold' to Claude for nothing and I'll do the same with the other when it is occupied. Incidentally I believe the house numbers on each are default, so they'll need amending. _____________________

Garnet, I wasn't trying to single you out. Yours was just one example of the larger issue of what happens to objects, particularly those such as buildings, streets, street signs, etc. (things that we might call civic infrastructure) if/when the av that owns them leaves.
As I understand it, SL does not now allow objects to be owned by groups. If this ever happens, we can just move the ownership of these items to the Neualtenburg Raumnutzung. Until then I don't know what we do. I guess we all vote for a more flexible permission system on the feature request page. |
