As many of you know Ive been working on a large gallery devoted to the wwIIolers.

Well I am now almost finished with it,I could very well finish this weekend.

Only one problem: $$$$$$

For the most part the wwIIolers are gone,I dont have their donations coming in any longer.
The money I did get was enough to finish the place but taxes ate away a good chunk of change.

I will never be able to support the taxes on the place considering they are at over $8000 now.

Im not looking to have anyone support this place thats not going to happen due to the insane taxes.

What im looking for is just enough to get past this 1 last tax day on monday and finish the place up.

I started it on the day jessie was made the only damage zone,Ive been working on it till now, although Ive been busy lately or I may have finished it already.

So I'm turning to the SL community to help me at the very least finish it so i can see it completed finally after all this work.

I only need to be able to pay 1 last tax day plus some final building costs.

Ive got a donation box out front for anyone who wants to contribute.

So comeo n over to jessie and feel free to look around, almost all the detail is finished and there are 3 floors filled with lots of images.

thanks all!

Sir you amaze me. I had just read your posting on the Gay Sim and came over to read this. Now trying to be fair minded I went to Jessie for the first time in my life to give you the benefit if the doubt. I walk around your little museum and climb to the 3rd floor.
Now we are not supposed to have a gay sim but you can ask for money and support for a building that one entire floor is a gay slur.
Are you insane????
We are all about live and let live in Second Life so I have to be able to except your gross behavior. I need to be tolerant of the intolerant that is true. However sir please do not follow a post that denies freedoms to a growing group of SL members and then in the same breath ask money for a building that insults them.

Everything in my building is a collection of images made by wwIIol community members or used by them.

The images are not meant as an insult to anyone,it is just meant as humor.

I think that you take yourself entirely too seriously.

Nowhere in my building does it bash gay people, you simply need a sense of humor.

Tell me if i had jokes about fat people would you object to that?
So why is it any different if i have humor based on gay people?

You seem to go around looking for problems where there are none.

If you did not like the place, fine,so dont donate and dont post.
So far every single person I've talked to woh's gone in there has enjoyed it,does that mean they hate gay people?

I have not seen the museum so this is not a comment on that.

I will say however that "humor" targeting any group.... gay, jewish, polish, blonde, asian, fat, and on and on isnt humor. Its thinly veiled "isms".
You may think its funny but it is hateful and hurtful towards & to those targeted.

I've taken a look at this place and have a few comments.

This is just a collection of images from outside the game. What exactly is the connection to second life?

I could see purpose to it if it was a gallery of images of what the wwIIol made and accomplished in game, but it's not. It's just a bunch of photos made by people no longer playing the game, photos made for some other prupose other than sl.

Why should this be saved when much better builds have been deleted by people who have quit the game?

Also the prim use in that building is outrageous. Do you really need all those little stairs all over the place? There must be 100's of prims alone in the stairs.

As for the images themsleves, it's in questionable taste at best.

Nowhere did I say it they had anything to do with secondlife it was a group thing.

It is in a mature area so I see no problem,i assure you no one who made those images harbor any hate for gay people.

As much as those images popup on our forums anyone who would actually insult gay people on our forums would be chewed out by the very sam,e folks who made those images.

I agree it is not exactly the msot tasteful humor but you are taking it far too seriously, everyone should learn to laugh at themselves every once in awhile and not take such small things seriously.

Anyways,I did not create this thread to debate the content,I'm simply asking for help from those willing.

I simply have no way of getting the funds to complete it and Ive put alot of work into it and would just like to be able to complete it.

Maxen, when i was taking in funds still for the palce I had PLENTY to finish it even with the amount of detail I put in,work got real busy lately and so alot of time got wasted and around $30,000 from start till now was taken by taxes.

heh the stairs are not all that many prims...well the spiral one was quite a few...its the cathedral ceiling which really ate up prims, that room alone is over 400,the pillars out front cost me $4500 to make.

I really love architecture and I got carried away with the detailing heh, thats probably my biggest issue in secondlife, money limits what I can build far too much.

Though i do realize that is unavoidable, maybe in a few years when technology is faster then we will be able to build more freely hopefully.

lol,if i had the money I'd have doubled the detail,my original plans called for another 6 rooms or so,but I never had a concrete plan, thats the way I build stuff,I start with a vague idea then molkd it from there changing dozens of times along the way lol.

Anyways folks if you want to donate please do and i thank you very much for it.

Or if someone would do it,I could borrow the money and return it in a week or 2 when the place comes down.

Its called a texture. Its what provides the detail to the PRIMitive shape, which is what you should model with actual polygons.
I made these same mistakes when i was a noob and ended up with a $500 dollar chair for my first build, that could just as easily have cost $50 to rez plus the $10 for uploading a texture.
Its on display at the bazaar so that you and me together may laugh at my former noobyness.

I suck with textures and such, plus I enjoy modeling architecture thats the only reason I added so much detail.

I managed to complete the actual structure,I wasnt able to add all the images I had ready so the large room upstairs is empty.

Its basically finished though,I was able to make this weeks taxes,so if you want to take a look at the place you have till this weekend.

I'll be taking it down sunday at the latest.

It'll be sad to see it go...

I also don't see how the pictures are anti-gay... they make fun of Richard Simmons. And that guy from HGTV, but who knows what his deal is. I talk **** about Al Sharpton all the time, but that doesn't mean I don't like black people.

Well thats because Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are criminals :)

I guess you could say Richard Simmons is criminally annoying, lol...

Yeah some people don't have thick enough skin.... When people make fun of Rush I don't go crying. I know he's an idiot and that if he's attacked not all republicans are attacked.

One time Rush Limbaugh interviewed people in New York to get their opinion on global warming. He did this in the dead of winter. He is a clown.
