It's possible, but depending on the size, not exactly straightforward...

My suggestion would be to plan your building offline. Create a floorplan, upload it and work from there. Cut-Hollowed Cylinders, while they look obvious, may not always be the best way forward.

I built a treehouse, mostly of cylinders. Due to the nature of nature I did not need a floor plan, just winged it - but I recommend a floor plan for a 'regular' structure. :)

Get XyObject and pray that you have enough prims.

I have had sucess making large rounded structures using a pivet. Which just consists of making a center prim, attaching an arm and then a pannel to the end of the arm and keeo copying and rotating the center prim at equal intervals. It gets nice acurate results that even please a perfectionist like myself. I could give you a better demonstration/discription of the methood in game if you were interested. BUT as far as an oval I think that would be more complicated, but doable. You would simply adujust the length of the arm and not use even intervals of angles as you go. I'm not sure how persice it would be though. And it sounds like one of those things that would give you a head ache.

Here is an exampple of a strcuture I did where I made part of an arc with a 20m diameter.

Barnesworth, I've been meaning to tell you that building in Miramare is very cool looking. Nice job!
