Ok, I'm not seeing that many places in world to buy SOUNDS at, so I decided I needed to come here. Where can I find some fire and water sounds? (Crackling, roaring, splashing)

Thanks for the link, Loki.

Moleulor, what would you consider not to be "cheating?" Just curious. Geez, I hope yuou were kidding.

I've spent mroe than my fair share of time in recording studios, and whenever I've needed nature sounds added to my tracks, it always ends up coming from a source like this, either on a CD that the studio already has, or else off the web. I'd like to know what other sources you think there are. If I want a the mating call of a central African mecac, do I really need to organize a safari expedition, or is it okay if I look it up?

I have a water sound that I'd be happy to share. I think a sound library of some kind is a terrific idea, and would gladly contribute or help manage.

I have a Water Stone under my house at Mokualii 53,38 that anyone can copy. I'd love to hear the sound of splashing water along shorelines all over Second Life :-)

I'd be willing to host a sound library or store at my parcel in Ebisu. There needs to be more sound in game.

Couldn't agree with ya more Loki...

Might I also suggest that he also invest in a small home audio studio... lol!

Ghoti,

Open the sound in the Sound Recorder program that comes with windows (start-programs-entertainment-soundrecorder).

Goto the file menu, click properties

Click Convert

Drop down the lower box and select "44.1 Khz 16 bit Stereo"

Click OK twice and save the file

It should now upload fine :)
