Me being completely new to all of this, I have a question regarding objects. With currently very little money, I am making all of my things. I am in the process of making a bed. Several primitives make up this of course. My question is there a way to, once I have completely assembled all of my primitives to make a bed, create them into one singal object. Or is that part of scripting? Any help would be appreciated.

simplest answer is select them all and hit control-L to link them. control-shift-L will unlink if you need to. which ever of the prims you select last is the "parent" object and the linked object will have the same name as the parent.

If you are new to building, zip on over to Lumiere Noir's Ivory Tower of Primitives for the best in-world tutorial on building you can find. It explains linking and all the other basics you'll need to know. Just look in the Find window for it, under the Places tab.

*bump* because the Ivory Tower of Primitives is a fabulous, free, self-paced introduction to building.
