In a few weeks, some folks in DW are going to host a Ren Faire with booths, jousting and other general fun. We would like to set up a "flea market" in DW similar to what happens in Lime everyone once in awhile, but we would like to invite folks to put up booths that will offers objects that are "generally" in the theme of a Ren faire. For some idea of objects/clothing/etc. that would work
-- weapons (swords, bows and arrows, etc.)
-- medieval armor
-- medieval themed clothing
-- scripted objects like flying ships, flying dragons, theme oriented boats, etc. etc.
-- partical script "magic" type objects
-- medieval themed furniture
-- Food! anything you might find at a normal Ren faire -- turkey legs, ale, etc.
-- fortune telling booths (we have two people doing this already but could use more)
-- games (like ride the elephant or that game where you beat people with pillows to knock them off a log, etc. )
-- anything your imagination can create that is generally medieval themed.
-- sorry, PG sim, so nothing "mature."
If you're interested in setting up a booth for this event over a weekend (we aren't sure of the exact date yet -- more to come on that) please send me a notecard in world with the following: Your name, what you want to sell, how many prims you think you will need approximately, and a landmark to your place/shop if you have anything theme oriented out already
. I will put you on the list for reservations and send you a bill for the rental when more details are ironed out. We are limiting this to 25 vendors, max, because of space constraints, so sign up early . The costs for the booths will be minimal -- probably 50 L for the whole two days. We will provide the tents and assign you a space. The money raised from this will go right back into prizes for events going during the faire.
We're also looking for volunteers from the DW group (or anyone interested in the DW group) for this project -- here's what we need:
1. A Town Crier (s)
2. Wenches!
3. A couple more Fortune tellers
4. Scrpters to help with a secret fun event that can't happen without scripters!
5. Assistant Jesters to walk around and make fun of people
. 6. Anything else anyone would like to contribute.
