okay, i've always wanted to be a magic man but haven't made much progress in real life. Thinking of creating a "Magician" group here in SL where we can figure out neat tricks ranging from rabbits popping out of hats to levitating playing cards and more. Would anyone be interested? We can try to get a performance ready for the eventual boardwalk opening....

hmmm, well here are some thoughts - do any sound appealing?

Playing card which floats when touched

Plushie rabbit which pops out of a hat when the magic word is spoken

a magic wand attachment which emits "sparks" (aka particles or has a light-up tip)

I could do a dissappearing reappearing person routine
We could build a statue of liberty then make that dissappear.
We could walk through the great wall of china

oi i wouldn't mind helping you hunter :-). All the ones you mentioned we could probably do in an hour or two, it all depends on if you want the rabbit animated or not heh, still working on that. Trying to make fish that swim at the moment.

cool. sounds like there's some enthusiasm to pursue this bold and mystical idea...

since I haven't yet bought any land, I'll go in sometime this evening and purchase a small parcel, then post location on this thread so we can try to start assembling some magic items.

Coordinates for magic land
12-02-2002 21:36
okay - i bought some land on DaBoom 242.8, 99.5, 51.9 - DaBoom is the sim all the way south, kinda equidistant West/East.
If you see me in world ask for a landmark - i'll start building some stuff there this week.

now i gotta afford the taxes - it's gonna take me selling lots of Avatar Wear Weekly newspapers (see the kiosk in the clothing store if you haven't already).:)

Darwin - my BUMP hero.

Anyone who's looking for the land i mentioned above is probably outta luck - think i released it a while back.

BUT i still think a magic shop would really be fantastic - especially now that so many folks have a handle on the scripting language.
