Hey guys!

I know how to find an Avatar's and a Texture's UUID, but I can't find an object's UUID!!! How can I find it? I mean, I have an object in my invent, is it possible to find its UUID? If so, how can I do it?

Thank you!

Unless I'm mistaken, an object doesn't have a UUID until it is rezzed, and a new one is created with each rez. You're out of luck.

Right, Thanks. As I suspected. llGetKey applies to rezzed objects. You cannot get the key of an objext until in is rezzed in world, and every new rezzed occurrence is given its own unique key.

Object in inventory do have UUIDs but they're not something that you can ever really use - they don't mean anything except to the software and to Lindens that are trying to recover inventory..

Why are you looking for the UUID of an object in your inventory? Are you just curious or do you have some reason for wanting it?
