I had made some parts to go on the nipples of my avatar. I tried once to attach each nipple attachment to the pecs. That seemed to work but there were times when the attachment would not move with the nipple correctly. I was advised to try attaching these things to either the chest or the spine, which makes perfect sense.
However, Im a bit unsure of how to do this since it is 2 nipple attachments not one. I knwo that I could move AttachmentLeft to the place where I want it, (right on the nipple), dup the item and try and move it to be close to the right nipple. HOwever, as Im building my character will move around as he edits until I attache t hese objects to something.
So, if I attach the first nipple attachment to the chest and move it to where I want it, I would still have to take the duplicate attachment and unattach the first attachment from teh chest again, then select these two items and link them, then attach it again...leaving a tedious complicated procedure if I dont get the second attachment the right distance apart from the first nipple attachment.
So what is the order of things. Do I...
align the first one>attach to chest>align the first one to near perfection then detach the first one from the chest again> move the second attachment to where i want it> select both attachments>link>move it again?
I know it sounds more complicated than it should be but Im trying to get this right.

First, get yourself a posing pedestal to stand on which will cancel the default motion of your av. Rickard Roentgen sells some great ones. While you are on the pedestal, you'll be able to edit objects without your av swaying in the breeze, breathing, or changing position when you click on a new object.
Now that you can stand still, build your nipple attachments and move them into place. Put an invisible prim half way inbetween them to act as a center point, and then link everything together, making sure to select the center point prim last so it will be the parent. Attach the object to your chest, not to either one of the pecs. After attaching, adjust the object's position and rotation if you need to.
Remember, you can adjust linked parts independantly so there's no need for the two nipple thingies to be seperate objects. One link set for the whole thing will work much better. Also, understand the difference in behavior between a chest attachment and a pec attachment. Objects attached to pecs will stay in place as the av breathes, causing them to pierce the av every time a breath is taken if they are placed close to the skin. Objects attached to the chest will move with the breathing, so they will not have that problem. There's only one chest attachment point, not two, which is why I suggest using the invisible center prim.
Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck.
