Permissions and sales

I'm sure this question is probably answered somewhere, but after two pages of topics, I'll be damned it I can find it...

I have land. I want to be able to sell things that I have made AND have a few other people be able to display and sell their wares.

But, I do not want my land held by a group and do I want to set the land to no create objects to avoid griefing.

Do I need to form a group of myself , AV1, AV2 and AV3 and give the group permission to create objects?

How do I set this up?

You need a group with you and your friends in it, but the group doesn't have to actually own the land. You can set the land to the group just like you can with objects, without changing ownership. Once the land is set to the group, you can turn on autoreturn on the land, and it won't return any items that you own, or any that are set to the group, regardless of who owns them. Any other objects will be returned.

Just make sure your friends in the group set whatever they place there to the group (the easiest way to do that is to have the group set as the active one when they rez the objects), so they won't be returned.

So how does it work if AV1 has a fountain for sale. The owner is the group, and when someone buys the fountain, how does the money get back to AV1?

The stuff that will be sold is not stuff that needs to be rezzed on the spot, like clothing you want to wear immediately.

The group doesn't own the fountain, or anything else for sale. The object is "set to group". It's more or less a privilege status that allows it to remain on a group set land without the autoreturn affecting it.
