I apologize in advance for not knowing, but....
How do I select one surface of a prim in order to edit its texture separate from the other surfaces textures? I am having problems setting repeats different for different surfaces.
Thanks kindly.

Right-click on the object in question and choose "Edit" from the pie menu. A tool palette will appear with your editing options. Select the Texture tab and then choose the "Select Texture" radio button to apply textures to an individual prim face.
You can then click on the prim itself to select the particular face you want to apply changes to. Shift-clicking on multiple faces allows you to make the same changes to more that one face at a time.

From: someone Originally posted by Helen Flora I apologize in advance for not knowing, but.... Salazar already answered the actual question, but I thought I should address your first statement. There's no need to apologize for not knowing something. SL is not like other online communities. People are actually friendly, believe it or not. No one will ever chastise you here simply for being new. You'll find that almost everyone is more than willing to take the time tio help you become a knowledgeable member of the community. That having been said, if anyone ever does act in manner unbefitting SL's welcoming, caring environment, please do not take that as a representation of the community at large. Chances are that person won't last long. Either they'll be banned as a result of excessive abuse reports, or (more likely) they will leave of their own volition out of simple boredom. Miserable people can't stand to be around others who are not as miserable as they are. Anyway, welcome to SL, and keep the questions flowing. The more we all share our knowledge, the better the world we can build.
