Hi, The machinimatrix team is currently discussing to open a sculptie-wiki and possibly also a sculptie related issue tracker as a community service on the machinimatrix-website. Would such a service be welcomed by the community at all? It would only work, if some people would do some initial work to get a critical mass. I myself would start collecting all questions about our video tutorials and convert them to wiki entries and possibly add some issues on the issue tracker... I also feel a raising frustration when looking at the forum threads here, where everything is discussed and nothing can be found (any more). I wonder, if creating more small problem-related threads would be a better way to go compared to collecting everything in a few overcrowded threads with hundreds of questions and answers in them ... We allready see many questions answered tens of times here in the forum. So people (including myself) tend to either not search beforehand, or not find answers beforehand ... Maybe it is also a good idea to try to convince linden labs to add a new forum dedicated to sculpties related issues ? Would that make sense ? Is there any backing, promotion, help to be expected for establishing the sculptie-wiki ? Or are there any complains ? I want to feed and speed up our internal discussion with your opinions thanks a lot, Gaia

I think any good source of information on sculpties would be well received, and much appreciated (even if most people never take the time to say thank you out loud), so I'd say go for it. I'm wondering, though, what would be the benefit of putting it on a third party site. LL already has a sculpty wiki, to which we all can contribute at any time. Perhaps I'm missing something, but why not put your information right there?

From: Chosen Few I'm wondering, though, what would be the benefit of putting it on a third party site. LL already has a sculpty wiki, to which we all can contribute at any time. Perhaps I'm missing something, but why not put your information right there? I guess, you refer to http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sculpted_Prims ? Well, i have added this thread in order to get a better feeling about what is realy needed and what is nice to have or "sugar candy". I certainly know, that adding yet another information blob into this overcrowded web must be decided and planned carefully. So we take our time to shed light on all aspects beforehand ... And after a long discussion this afternoon, we will probably do the following : We will setup a small wiki and a tutorial-related issue tracker around the machinimatrix-tutorials. I bet, we would never be allowed to place such a tutorial-related information blob into the SL-wiki, no ? Let's see, if this wiki can attract as many people as our blog attracts and if it grows by time
