To solve the ever growing problem of land occupation and finding a place to call home, we (myself, Jemma Flora, and the Atlantis group) are building an underwater city, with apartements and stores, it will be Second Lifes first official underwater city project. This posting is really to gauge SL opinion on such a project, should it prove popular other sites (Atlantis-B, Atlantis-C etc) could spring up in other large bodies of water. Suggestions so far have included the Linden lake, in Lime!? Visit our inital construction site in Varney (35, 14)... Thus far the funding for the project has been my own, Jemmas, and a very generous sponsor, Bhodi Silverman. I am dedicated to putting as much money into the project as I can, in order to realise what I think will be a really cool project - living underwater! Hope to see you all underwater soon

This is one of the first things that came to mind when i first read about SL. However, after signing up I found out that you cannot get rid of the water from your sub-water level locale. So I postponed those ideas until a solution was available. Since i have heard nothing of a solution in the dev pipeline I am happy someone is doing an underwater project and would love to throw my support behind the endeavor. Please let me know if there is any thing I may do to assist. -sean http://www.axceron.com/sl

I dont think I can actively participate as a partner, but I think it is a very worthy project. Limited land prompted me to build the Teal Underwater Maze long ago, I think underwater living and use has its advantages. I will help out when and if I can. Good luck on the project and I look forward to seeing its progress.

After Buring Halloween, my Ghosthold Cemetery briefly had a home at the bottom of the water just outside the Jessie wall. Until I found that I could not yet support it and my current builds, it sat on the seabed and fogged. The nice thing with that location for a cemetery is that the darkness of the water makes it perpetual night.

Location update! : The Atlantis project can now be found in Clyde - just next to the Jessie wall - look for the plastic tubes that are similar to that of a hamster habitat! Thanks to everyone that has visited us, and big thanks to our new residents!
