If I buy something with copy/mod permissions, should I get textures?

If I buy a package such as a house that claims to come wiith full copy/modify permissions, should this mean:

a) all the individual objects that make up the package should be copyable/modifiable?
b) I should get the textures, so that I can create new prims/objects and use existing textures on them?

b) seems especially problematic because as soon as you replace a texture, even accidentally, there's no way of undoing this unless you have the texture in your inventory (except perhaps with scripting).

TIA

well copy mod perms it for the prims only unless you but the textures i would say no
but usually you can ask for them and sometimes the creator will send them to you
with no transfer but that all depends how they got the textures and how they are allowed to use em

a. is Yes.

b. Most builders do not include the actual textures with the house as the textures are a big part of what distinguishes them from other builders. However I have heard that some do.
If you want to build an additional wing to the house or something like that all you have to do
is copy existing prims with the textures already on them. Delink the desired prim, select it,
while holding down on the shift key pull on an arrow.

If it is copy/mod then if you screw up you should still have your original house in your inventory.
So you can just rez another one.

1. Depends on definition of package. Yes in terms of the core house. My houses, for example, also have many elements I add in - the core house is modify and copy - however the components added in (e.g. scripts) will not be modify (however have notecard based configuration. Most house builders will not give the components modify based on the licence they buy - hence the notecard or menu based format but also as the cost of that component in the fully modify format would far unweigh the house cost being purchased.

2. Again depends. I am a no on my houses.where it is licence based. As the prims are copy and modify as mentioned above the recommendation is copy the prim to recreate as it already has a texture applied to it (and house is copy for backup).

Not sure if that helps!
