Hi, in reply to the question from linden: If anyone is interested in making games (I know Ama Omega likes it) and is willing to live next to another game builder like me (I've got 3 games now in the Arcade thing from Ama, and 4th coming) let me know.
We could make Casino's (actually like the aracde thing, but bigger and better :), game shows (need guidance), games like bowing, target shooting ehh basically any sport that does NOT require organisation (so it should be scripted pretty good), multiplayer games that does not involve shooting eachother (also here it is important that it should be scripted good enough so it doesn't need guidance and cheating is impossible).
I really like the arcade idea (but I would call it a casino) but it needs better style, and I have some other great idea's too. I was hoping that other people with same interest would be willing to help me out with those idea's and I am willing to help on any ideas they have.
I will call Ama Omega in game for this.
I hope we could get some space for this on the new SIm's I was thinking about 1/4 to 1/3 SIM...

OH and not too forget: If you DON't know scripting you could help too!!!
If you look at the arcade thing you can see that Ama is more of a scripted and did not pay TOO much efford in the visual appearance of his games (no offence, they look OK, but could be much more attractive). I've spend some time making the 'Wheel Of Fortune' more attractive, but I really like the scripting part better :D
So we can use people who can do the visual appearance of the games. This means 3d design, but also TEXTURING.
I think it's really important that people should use better texture, you can do a lot of little details in the texturing. Instead of trying to do every detail with 3d objects, doing this with texture gives you much more freedom, it lags less and it looks better.
If you don't know how to do texturing I can help you out.

The arcade will be getting a minor name change by popular demand to:

Ama's Arcade and Casino.

:)

I would be willing to join such a community (um lindens, could ya attach it right behind my Arcade? Please? :D). But probably not in a very large way - small house or something. I'm kinda stretched thin, and the arcade is more a labor of love then the big profit maker some believe it to be.

As for the visual / asthetic quality of my games there are a few factors:

- I have no artistic talent
- I build my new games based off statistics of old games - what gets played the most etc. You may be suprised but generally there is almost as much script work keeping track of stats for the game as actually doing the game.
- I have no artistic talent.
- The simpler games get played more. I do have many ideas for more complex / different games that will be comming soon.
- I have no artistic talent.

Also, I am willing to be fairly to very generous in paying anyone that thinks they can create a better looking body or textures for any of my games. Make sure you talk with me before you start work though, cuz for some of them the design (as simple as it may be) is tightly integrated into the script.

Sounds like fun; count me in. Maybe this time I'll spend more than half an hour thinking about the game before making it. ;)
