Hi everyone! After playing SL for a week or so, and enjoying it thoroughly, I've been bouncing an idea around in my head for a few days...; building a gallery where people can display photos of their real life images.

I know of course that your profile has a place already to put a First Life picture, but I thought it might be nice to be able to visit a place in world that had lots of em 'in one place', rather than having to mess around actually 'finding' the person themselves, etc.

I'm not sure whether or not anyone has tried this before, but now I've got the funds to be able to begin the project, what does everyone think of the idea? Would you be interested in visiting such a place?

Many thanks for your inputs, and good luck to everyone!

Rafe Gardner

PS. Hiya Misty, mwuah! ;)

I'd certainly visit! Break the exhibit into catagories, like people's first life pics. You can do anonymous and ones with names. Images of places can be another catagory. I'm sure I'd submit a few anonymous images. :)

Hey Rafe, that's a great idea. Bhodi has a good gallery over in Jessie, but it would be nice to see more art displays -- maybe even an art district? Hmmm.

In any case, you might like to drop by the photo show-and-tell tonight at 8:30 at "Theatre Terra" (Minna 243, 189), to meet some like-minded people and maybe show off some of your work.

Yup, good idea Rafe. I'll happily submit some photos.

Check out Gallerie Gallant (Clementina 169,174) for some black-and-white photos of Alaska, Antarctica, Australia, and the Columbia River. Also visit Bhodi Tree Gallery in the SE corner of Jessie for some really fine stuff, including larger versions of two of my landscapes.

I was going to start showing humorous snapshots at my place. I've got one now that shows SL physics at its best! (or at least I think so).

If you want your legs like mine in the snapshot I think I've figured out the 'physics' behind it. lol

I'm in Tahema somewhere. and I think I spelled that incorrectly. Its a small plot next to water.
