I've rented a shop out , but I can't drop or build anything
It says something about the owner of the land not allowing
I am new to SL and dont know where to start ?

All you have to do is contact the owner by IM and let him know that you need to join the merchants' group. If you are not a group member, you won't have building privileges. Check the rental box. There should be an information card in it that tells you all sorts of valuable things (like when the rent is due, how big your prim allowance is, and who the owner is). If you can't get his name from there for some reason, then stand in your shop and choose World >> About Land from the dropdown menu at the top of your screen. The owner's name will be in there somewhere.
