I see there is a new set of buttons to push in object tab called slice..

Has anybody looked at this and what is the purpose for having that?

Very very thin things. We've had it all along, just hidden. It could be done by changing the object type to sphere and setting dimple then going back to cube, cylinder, or prism. (^_^)

A lot of the old megaprim resizing was done this way. (^_^)y

I was thinking along the same lines - cut off some of the useless pieces of a mega.

Yeah. slice (on a cube) is the same as dimple for spheres.
Using it on other grids, slice to 99%, and resize to 1mm and you have wafer thin prims. Of course you can only see down to 1 pixel but the prim is like 0.00001 thick.

I played with it for a few minutes, I am sure I saw some more interesting bevels on cut prims when I changed from one shape to another, but that's a unconfirmed observation at this time.
