I want to put a frozen pond onto my land, someone suggested using a megaprim. Is that something I could buy or do I make it myself? Can you give me a heads up on where to start?

There are lots of free sets of megaprims - do a search on xstreet for "megaprim."
Also the free SALT HUD (can be found at xstreet) is a resource that finds the nearest size megaprim to the dimension you enter in its field.

Look on xstreetsl.com for a SALT HUD. It lets you request any size of megaprim you want and if it exists, it's delivered direct to your inventory. HUD and the megaprims are free.
