How would/Can anyone build a long ponytail that flows and swings and reacts to wind and such? Is it possible?

You could build the ponytail with LOTS of prims....but to my knowledge, it cannot react with the wind.
Now, if I'm wrong (but I don't think I am) someone please correct me and explain how to do this, as I've been wanting it for a long time! ![]() |

If you have Avatar Rendering: Bump Mapped and Cloth turned on you'll see your pony tail whip in the wind, but noone else will unless they have the setting turned on (strange that the cloth setting affects hair!)
You *could* do it with particles with a short lifespan, but if it got too windy (or you were flying) your "hair" may stretch out like a comet tail... which, come to think of it would be kinda cool... |

or you could make it as a particle, that would move in the wind
