I was sitting on the bus tonight and was brainstorming and came up with an idea, although I'm not sure if it's possible at all. My idea is for an automated ferry service, operated via some script, perhaps a variation of the pathfinder script in the scripting forum.

Now, 99% chance that this is not goign to work because of in-world issues, such as if a new building pops up in the way of hte boat between regular route overviews by myself or whoever took on the project. In addition, there's also the possibility of hitting an innocent SL canoe user or whatnot.

*shrug*

However, it would be cool to be able to step on a ferry at any one of a number of locations and be able to be automatically whisked away by boat to a port of call closest to your destination.

There is (or was) an automated boat trip around Cayman. It has audio and whisper text tour info with three 30 second stops. It can be done.

The following thread hints that this is something we may see, take a look at the pic attached to this one: /3/7c/11098/1.html
