Small Rez Problem with Objects?

Hi all just wanted to see if it was me or a bug, The last two evenings when I have checked my Rez Vendors at my stores they have been empty in other words the Item that I normaly have rezed is gone and another has not replaced it.

Last night I tested the vendors and it kept saying that the Parcel was full and could not create object. Now the Irony of it was the fact that on each parcel there were almost 200 prims on each one left available for objects to rez. After a few mins I was able to cycle again and it worked.

So in closing my question is this.

Is there an Issue with objects that rez other objects triggering a responce of parcel full due to cycling too fast?

The Items being Rezed are no greater than 31 prims as they are vehicles in a vendor.

Any knowledge or help on this would greatly be appreciated.

Sincerely, Shadow Weaver

Yes.

This has been a thorn in my (and others) sides for a while now.

The best solution I've found so far is to set the vendor to cycle through objects every 60 seconds or so, and make the display model "temporary on rez", as that doesn't count against the prim limit on a plot (Supposedly. There is some indication it actually *does*, eventually... But it seems to work for vending machines at least).

actually Reitsuki, this vendor the object stays once is rezed the problem is when the individual hits the "Next" key on the vendor. If its too fast it says parcel full.

Since I am not a scripter per say are you saying put a delay timer that will not allow it to cycle until 60seconds have past?

This could become very annoying to a customer if you have more than say 15 Items in a vendor.

15 Items would equal 15 mins of cycling through the product in a vendor.

I like your Idea but I think this would infuriate customers more than a cant create due to parcel is full at the moment.

But just so I am understanding correctly then this is a BUG and not just some random occurance?

I'm not sure its so much a bug as just "the way it is", but no, its not just a random thing. It seems the server doesnt actually update the prims-on-parcel number as well as we think it does.

Ok, here is how I have my vehicle vendors set up:

The display model is temp-on-rez. This means it automaticly will vanish after a little over a minute.

Every 60 seconds, the vendor automaticly cycles through to the next dispaly item. This is so you never have an 'empty vendor'.

But, the arrow keys still work, so you can cycle through them as you wish. If no arrows are pressed within 60 seconds, it resumes its automatic cycling.

Temp on rez models dont count against the parcel limit, so you never get the "Plot too full" thing, or at least, I never have, in situations I previously did.

If you need, I can give more details in-world how I Set this up, I based my vendor off a freely availibile one, modified a bit to suit my needs more.

Reit, I did what you mentiond and tested it. Thus far it seems ok. However, my question not only to you and to LL is when cycling a Vendor does Rezing not create a lot of Lag on a Sim?

Reason I ask this is Imagine this. We have over 800 Items in at least 40 Vendors. Now Imagine if 40 Vendors are cycling and Rezing new objects in the sim even though those objects are Temp on Rez would this not create lag or strain on the server?
