Please reply if you think you could devote the time/energy to the class and if you think you'd be interested in joining up.
My first class would be on flash-fiction or short-short fiction. Flash fiction is defined generally as any fiction under 1,000 words. It's hot stuff in the literary world right now (or has been for a couple of years) and lots of journals are publishing it. It's also perfect for a medium like SL. I'm thinking the course would be 5 weeks long -- with the first week dedicated to organization/get to know you/ set up. The remaining weeks would be traditional type workshops. If you've never taken a writing workshop they function like this: Each student brings something to share with the group. Everyone reads the piece and makes written comments. Then the group comes together and discusses the piece with the writer. There are only two real rules to workshop: 1) The writer can't speak while the story is being discussed and 2) No personal attacks, everything stays focused on the story and how to improve it. I would essentially make a schedule during the first class with each participant having a piece due at a differen time. Participants would then bring their stories the night they are due, allow us some time to read them and make written comments, then allow time for us to discuss them. We should be able to do this for about three stories in an hour and half length class. My job would be to lead the discussion and keep the class focused on the goal. Your job as a student is to write and read and comment

The focus of this class is entirely on making writing better and therefore, any writer is welcome.
If you're interested, please post and let me know. Also, let me know a good night for you. Thursday nights are generally good for me.
I'm not sure how to work the Linden Support thing, as it wouldn't really include a contest or anything, LOL. Therefore, I might charge a very small fee per session just to cover my time and prep -- something like 50 bucks a person or something. Or, if I could work it out with the Lindens, perhaps just have a prize money drawing for each class or something. Suggestions welcome on that

Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from ya'll.
