A new implementation I'd like to see that would help distribution of sale items

An easy-to-implement, but effective tool that would help spread items that we've created in a VERY easy manner would be this:

In the "For Sale" section of an object, have an option that you can check that will make all sales of the item send the pay to the creator of the item, and any successive copies of the item be set to a locked sale price automatically. With this implemented, we could create objects that people would place in their homes and businesses, and if other people came and liked that object, they could just buy it from us by buying a copy of the object right before them! This would reduce the need to "go on a hunt" for a person's particular shop or mall booth, and save both the creator and the consumer a lot of time.

(Actually, I had thought that this was how it worked initially.. so I had ended up giving a bunch of friends stuff I made that they could sell themselves to get money >.<;)

Please share your thoughts on this :>

I didn't understand it all, but yes, we need a way to give the creators money, all this stuff with people who don't own land, have problems with vendors. We have to use group set to keep items on land, and if that idea was implemented, selling would be a whole lot easier. Godd idea ^_^

Congratulations, in one fell swoop that would put all mall owners out of business (except clothiers I'm assuming since you cant right click & pay someone's shirt).

Synergy, ya still gotta find the object/product/item. All this would mean is that yes, if you see the item out and about you can buy it then (as you often can now) but that the Designer would get the Lindens, as I understand it.

However, that doesn't take away from someone needing clothes/textures whatnot that HASN"T seen what they want from going to a handy collection of said items, often referred to as a mall, to search for these things directly.

If I misunderstood the first part, my bad, but in any case, I know that I go to a mall when I cannot find what I want from what I've seen around...I go for selection. That wouldn't change, I"m just thinking that the creator of items might get the benefit of the reselling/copy-selling of their work on down the line, ala residuals for actors.

This would require two purchase options, then. Purchase from the creator, or purchase from the owner. Owners should still be allowed to sell items that are transfer-enabled, and collect the money instead of the creator.

Maybe your suggestion would work best for items that are not transfer-enabled.

Of course, this thread belongs in the <Feature Suggestions> forum.
