Transparency, Invisiprims, Shoes--Impossible?

I just made a great pair of shoes without thinking--I made the high, thick heels look transparent with a light gradient texture, and put an object inside, with a slight glow. All was great till I put them on the avatar to adjust with the invisiprim. Either the invisiprim makes the entire heel invisible (which is , of course, not what it normally does), or the ugly "foot" heel shows inside the shoe heel. (I know how to use invisiprims on normal "solid" shoe heels)

Is there any solution to this, or must my adorable shoes remain in their box? Thanks!

If you have your heart set on making the heels transparent, then I don't think there is a solution.

Invisiprims make any texture with transparency invisible.

Invisiprims will always hide prims that have any alpha texturing. I fear your high heels with transparent heel spikes are not possible in SL.

It is as I feared, but I needed to hear it from those who knew. Appreciated!

well there is a slight workaroung (that may not help) if the transparent prims sides are outside the invisiprim, it will show up... but that requires a lot of width.
