Anyone here know how to work with transparent layers in PSP7 so they will show up as transparent in SL?
OK I'll start off with saying I know it has something to do with alpha channel but I know NOTHING at all about alpha channels although I do know how to do simple stuff with layers in PSP.
Someone told me if I made the base layer transparent then layered stuff over the top then it would work. Well...it's not. the image still shows as white where it should be transparent when I apply the texture to a prim. What I'm trying to do is make a window without having to make separate prims for each part of the window frame. I know it's possible cos my prefab house has a wall texture that is partly window and you can see thru it.
HELP!

I'm another person who has been struggling with getting the alpha channel to work. This was just what I needed. Thanks SO much!
