I just wrote a really long (if you know my posts, that means Really long) post about all of this. Just as I was about to post it, my power went out.

Arrrgh :)

So, this is gonna be more of a synopsis version.

I've recently taken on a fairly ambitious project (Escherland, near the Telehub in Stillman). The project is being funded by others, so I feel obligated to put my time and attention to it. It is coming along swimmingly,

but. . .

working on the project means I won't really be able to put a lot of time and attention into my first project, the Cannabis Carnival in the south of Stanford. The Carnival was covered in NWN if you're interested.

Anyway, on the verge of taking the Carnival in, I realised that there might not be a need for something so drastic.

Especially in these glorious days of 1.1 and group ownership.

So, my proposal here is to make the Cannabis Carnival into a group project.

The more that I thought about this idea, the more I like it. The Carnival is about Fun and Games, but it also is about a cause as well - making people aware of the uselessness of our war on ourselves for something so benign as Cannabis. And, it being a cause, it will have more weight if more people are behind it.

So, ideal group project.

As I said, I'm going to be cooling down on the project for a bit, but still would like to see it continue. Will be nice to get some fresh creativity into it.

Also, if the group could get a couple of more business minded types, this could turn into a money maker.

So, if you have any interest in this whatsoever, I'm sure your talents would be needed. Either reply here, or contact me in game. Once I get some responses, we'll set up a meeting in world to discuss possibilities. You're not committing to anything right now, so why not? :)

I'm am very serious about this very serious cause. The Lindens have been openminded enough to let a project like this continuing. I think it only appropriate that we approach the project with the tact and respect it deserves.

If you have any questions about the intent or purpose of this project, please contact me in game. Also, check out the Carnival itself. There is a disclaimer sign there which reads:

"Welcome to the Cannabis Carnival: Fun, Games, and the Truth about marijuana. This is definitely a mature property. The proprietor(s) of this property in no way intend to encourage the breaking of any laws. Please, be smart. Know your countries's laws, obey them, and, if you disagree with them, work within the system to change them. Decriminalization/Legalization is happening all over the world. It can happen in your neck of the woods as well. Knowledge is Power."

That sums it up pretty well.

Hope to hear from you :)

One.. I'm with you on the cause!

Personally, I believe the only way that a governing body can have any control over a substance is through regulation.

Make it legal.
